On July 1, 2010, Liu Keqing, the Party Secretary of Zhangzhou City, Mayor Chen Dong, and other municipal leaders led members of the five municipal leadership teams as well as the primary leaders of party and government from various counties and development zones to visit and inspect Runke Bioengineering (Fujian) Company, accompanied by the Chief of Zhaoan County, Wu Wentuan.
In the lobby of the office building, leaders at all levels listened attentively as the Chairman of Guangdong Runke introduced the company's development overview, progress of ongoing projects, and strategic development plans. They also showed keen interest in the company's high-tech products under research and development, expressing optimism about their vast market potential. Accompanied by the Chairman, the leaders visited the fermentation and extraction workshops, which are part of the first-phase construction projects, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the overall progress of the construction and the trial production in the completed workshops. They affirmed the significant market capacity of microalgae products and the company's promising development prospects.
Since the beginning of this year, Zhangzhou City has been fully committed to cultivating and developing strategic emerging industries such as the "bioindustry." Leaders like Liu Keqing and Mayor Chen Dong encouraged Runke Bioengineering to serve as a pioneer enterprise in promoting the development of Zhangzhou's bioindustry through investment in Fujian. They urged the company to prioritize investment and construction, leverage its leading role, and become a pacesetter in "cultivating and developing the bioindustry." At the workshop, the leaders commended the company's measures to invest and commence trial production simultaneously, accelerating the realization of production benefits. They also instructed relevant departments to provide support and foster a favorable investment environment, contributing to the development of bilateral economic and trade cooperation between Fujian and Guangdong.
The project, which has been under construction for more than two years, has received consistent care and strong support from municipal and county leaders as well as relevant departments. The Chairman expressed his profound gratitude for this and stated that Runke Bioengineering is determined to expedite the project construction in a fast and efficient manner, aiming to achieve full-scale production and expand its influence to attract more private enterprises from Guangdong and related enterprises in the biotech industry chain to invest and settle in Zhangzhou. The company will make due efforts and contributions to building the "Southern Fujian Marine Biological Science and Technology Park" and fostering the development of the bioindustry.
